About Us

Dawson of Stamford Ltd has been a well known part of Stamford for nearly thirty years.

Established in 1974, John Dawson set up a work shop in the building at the bottom of his garden and, using his skills as a goldsmith and diamond mounter, specialised in the restoration of antique jewellery and hand made commission pieces.

 In 1977 he opened a shop in Stamford to sell his jewellery, as well as his growing collection of antique furniture, fine art and obscure objets.

Over the past thirty years antiques has become a large part of our business , and we can now boast one of the most comprehensive and unusual collections of antique furniture and decorative objects in the east of England.
