About Us
Dawson of Stamford Ltd has a well known part of Stamford for nearly forty years.
Established in 1974, John Dawson set up a work shop in the building at the bottom of his garden and, using his skills as a goldsmith and diamond mounter, he initially specialised in the restoration of antique jewellery and handmade, commission pieces.
In 1976 he opened a shop in Stamford in order to sell the jewellery he made, as well as showcasing his growing collection of antique furniture, fine art, antique silver and obscure “objets”.
Over the past thirty years, in tandem with fine jewellery, antiques has become a larger part of our business and we can now boast one of the most comprehensive and unusual collections of antique furniture and decorative objects in the east of England, as well an exciting and extensive range of 18ct gold and platinum jewellery.
